Fee Schedule
Mr. Pohls participates in alternative dispute resolution programs administered by several state and federal courts in California. Each of those programs has its own compensation rules. When Mr. Pohls is retained through one of those programs, he follows the applicable program's compensation rules and charges $500 per hour for any additional time.
When Mr. Pohls is retained privately, his charges and mediation fees are as follows:

HALF DAY
$3,000
Includes the first 5 hours of session time plus all
preparation time, travel time and expenses. Extra time billed at hourly rate.
FULL DAY
$5,000
Includes the first 10 hours of session time plus all
preparation time, travel time and expenses. Extra time billed at hourly rate.
HOURLY
Charged for all preparation, session
and travel time. Travel expenses also will be charged to the parties.

CANCELLATION FEES
If you settle without a mediation session, you should be congratulated . . . not penalized.
If a mediation is cancelled 7 or more calendar days before the date for which the mediation session was scheduled,
Pohls Mediation will not charge any cancellation fee.
If a mediation is cancelled fewer than 7 calendar days before the date for which the mediation session was scheduled, Pohls Mediation will charge each separately-represented party the fixed sum of $250 as a cancellation fee.
